How do you calculate CPM?

CPM is cost per one thousand impressions: divide your spend by impressions, then multiply by 1,000. A $2,500 campaign that delivered 400,000 impressions has a CPM of $6.25. Rearranged, impressions = spend ÷ CPM × 1,000, and spend = CPM × impressions ÷ 1,000.

  1. Pick what you're solving for

Choose CPM, impressions, or spend. The other two become the inputs.

  2. Enter your two known numbers

For creator campaigns, use the fee you paid the creator and the views their posts actually delivered.

  3. Add engagements for the deeper read

Cost per engagement often separates two creators with identical CPMs — one bought you views, the other bought you attention.

A CPM tells you what a creator cost. Campaign Tracking tells you what they delivered: posts counted daily, pace per creator, and payouts on a ledger. See Campaign Tracking
